The party starts October 26, 2026 at 9:30pm. Share in drinks, food, swag, activities, and camaraderie as we celebrate the release of Sarah J. Maas' A Court of Splintered Harmony. We've hosted incredible midnight release parties with hundreds of guests for other major titles, and this one is sure to be just as great.This exclusive event will be hosted at our new location at 1109 Wellington Street West, and attendance will be capped at 50 people, so don't delay getting your tickets!

No, this is an authorless event authorized by Sarah J. Maas' publisher and Canadian distributor, but we still have lots of other fun and surprises in store for you!
Who is hosting this party?
Ottawa's midnight release party is being hosted by The Spaniel's Tale Bookstore, in collaboration with Bloomsbury, the publisher of the ACOTAR series, and Raincoast, the Canadian distributor.
How much do tickets cost?
Tickets, which include a copy of A Court of Splintered Harmony, are $50.00/each. This also includes snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. A companion ticket can be added for an additional $15.00. Companion tickets do not include a copy of the book.
Can I buy more than one ticket?
You can buy as many tickets as you would like, as long as there are still tickets available.
What if I change my mind?
Once you buy a ticket, refunds are not possible. Ticket sales are final, however, they are transferable. You are welcome to sell or give your tickets to someone else. If you choose not to attend the midnight party, your copy of A Court of Splintered Harmony will be available for pickup in the store.
Can I bring someone with me?
Regular tickets are valid for one person. "Ticket + Companion" tickets are valid for two people. "Ticket + Companion" tickets only include one copy of the book.
What age is this event appropriate for?
This event is open to ages 14+.
What if I've already pre-ordered A Court of Splintered Harmony?
No problem! You can upgrade your pre-order to a midnight release party ticket. Send us an email at [email protected] and we'll send you a coupon code for the value of the book that you can use to purchase your ticket. Coupon code is only valid if the customer has pre-ordered A Court of Splintered Harmony from us.
Can I read A Court of Splintered Harmony at the party?
You will receive your copy of A Court of Splintered Harmony when the clock strikes midnight! Unfortunately, we are not able to provide your copy earlier in the evening.
